Laoag mayor hits abortions in city

Police operatives caught Ms. Lagmay in the process of employing intentional abortion procedures. She was also caught dispensing abortive drugs to the female police asset at the clinic. Vigare Clinic is owned by Dr. Teresita Vigare. Ms. Fariñas expressed the belief that with the arrest if the suspected abortionist, the practice would cease in the city. Gatchalian visits Ilocos Norte; gives aid to 5 LGUs

Gatchalian was in the province recently to personally extend assistance to victims of supertyphoon “Lawin” (Haima). Giving out a total of ₱ 2.2 million, Mr. Gatchalian gave P800,000 to Laoag City, with the remainder distributed to Paoay, Pagudpud, Solsona and Badoc. The financial aids were given based on damages of the areas. Mr. Gatchalian pointed out that based on the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) report, the four municipalities and Laoag were the worst damaged from the supertyphoon. Batac hopeful FM burial won’t affect tourism

Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani will not affect the tourism industry in this city. Prior to the “soldier’s burial” on November 18, 2016, the former president’s mausoleum located in the heart of this city was one of the main tourist attractions here. The refrigerated crypt attracted local, domestic and foreign tourists. Students, government organizations and other group tours from all over the country also visit the crypt monthly. Though admitting that it was a loss for the local tourism industry, Mr. Chua said there are still other tourist spots here. Dead fetus found at St. Williams Chapel of Candles

By Dominic B. dela Cruz Staff reporter Laoag City —A dead fetus was found dead at the Chapel of Candles, just beside the St. Williams Parish this city on November 9 at about 11:00 am. Sampaguita vendor Loilita Agruda said, in an interview, that when she entered the said chapel, she saw a plastic bag, which she mistook for “bagoong”, [fermented fish paste]. She added that she suspected that it was left behind unknowingly as it was heavy. “ Ngem idi irwar kun ket adda nakitak a diapers ken adda met daran isu a linukatak ket nakitak metten a rupat ubingen, ” Ms. Agruda said.
