          “Upon Extra-Judicial Petition for sale under Act 3135, as amended, filed by the ENGR. GEORGE JOSEPH B. AQUINO against SPS. ALBERT L. RAMBAUD AND MARICAR CATHERINA V. RAMBAUD, a resident of Brgy. #8, San Agustin, Paoay, Ilocos Norte and SPS. RUPERTO C. VALBUENA AND GRACE S. VALBUENA of Brgy. 49-B, Raraburan, Laoag City to satisfy the mortgage indebtedness which as of January 31, 2016 in the amount of FIVE HUDNRED THOUSAND PESOS ONLY (Php. 500,000.00) exclusive of legal fees and other incidental charges accruing from the filing of application in accordance with the stipulations in the said mortgage or contract, and the expenses of this foreclosure the undersigned or his duly authorized deputy will sell at public auction on October 10, 2016 at 10:00 o’clock in the morning and soon thereafter at the MAIN ENTRANCE OF THE CITY HALL OF LAOAG CITY, to the highest bidder, for cash and in Philippine Currency, all rights, shares and participations which the mortgagors SPS. RUPERTO C. VALBUENA AND GRACE S. VALBUENA might have had in the hereunder described under real property together with all the improvements found there, to wit:

Bounded on the NE, by Lot 8110-1, on the SE, by Lot 8110-H, on the SW, by Lot 8110-D, and on the NW, by Lot 8110-F, all of the Subdivision Plan. Containing an area of 200 square meter and is covered by T-39441 issued by the Register of Deeds of Laoag City. It is Assessed at P1,730.00 for the Current Year under Tax Declaration No. 08-067-00748 and Improvement assessed at P21,090.00 for the Current Year under Tax. Declaration No. 08-067-00749.
          This instrument shall be registered under Act. 496.

          Prospective buyers may investigate for themselves the property above described and encumbrances thereon, if any there be.
          In the event that public auction should not take place on the scheduled date, it shall be held on October 17, 2016 without further notice.

DECISION
          IN VIEW OF THE FOREGOING, the petition is hereby GRANTED as judgment is hereby rendered, declaring the marriage contracted by petitioner LESTER G. CALILAO to respondent JENALYN C. FERMIN-CALILAO, solemnized on August 8, 2007 in Laoag City NULL AND VOID pursuant to Article 36 of the Family Code.
          Upon finality of this Decision, a copy shall be furnished each to the Office of the Civil Registrar of Laoag City where the marriage was solemnized and the National Census and Statistical Office, Manila for their appropriate action consistent with this decision. Let a copy of the dispositive portion be published in a newspaper of general circulation at least once. The Decree of Absolute Nullity shall be issued upon finality hereof.

Pagudpud’s tourism transformer passes away

Ricardo Nolasco Jr., owner of Hannah’s Beach Resort and Convention Center in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte passed away on Wednesday evening, July 11, 2018. He was 67. “He did not survive an open-heart surgery,” said Ronald Dominguez, spokesperson of the largest resort at Brgy. Balaoi in Pagudpud. Known as the architect behind the transformation of Pagudpud town as a premiere destination of the north, Mr. Nolasco put up Hannah’s Beach Resort in what was originally meant as a family vacation resort. The rest is history when it expanded into more than 300-room executive villas and cabanas, with on-going infrastructure developments and set up various amenities. As a result, hundreds of domestic and foreign tourists visit here daily.
